Elemental & Molecular analyses

Lab/Cor Materials uses two standard, yet powerful, techniques to to identify the molecular and elemental make up of a wide variety of materials.  Infrared spectroscopy is one of the most widely trusted scientific analysis techniques and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy is a very fast and economical method to determine the atomic make-up of a substance.

Picture
Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy
- Determination of molecular or material composition of solids and liquids - including fuels, polymers, solvents and unknowns.
- Detection of trace amounts of additives or contaminants.
- Large spectral libraries allow for positive identification of unknown materials, including many common compounds and products.

X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) Spectroscopy
- Used to determine the atomic make-up of materials.
- Quantitative determination of trace elements in a sample.
- Capable of ppm-level detection of additives or contaminants.
- Fast turn around times at a low cost.
